Philosopher Falls Track

Philosopher’s Falls

It was James ‘Philosopher’ Smith whose exploration efforts that lead him to the aptly named Philosopher’s Falls - a hidden treasure among mycologists and fungi enthusiasts. Located just 10 km from Waratah it’s easily accessible and upgraded pathways allow up-close and awe-inspiring encounters with rare and colourful fungi found during the autumn and winter months. Turn off the B23 into the signed gravel access road that takes you to a generous parking area. The walk starts at the edge of the car park at beginning of the forest. Visit ‘Discover the Tarkine’ for more information.
