The Waratah-Wynyard Council welcomes all caravans, campervans and motorhome travellers to the region. The spectacular natural beauty of our region, combined with our relaxed and friendly lifestyle, makes this the perfect base for the leisure traveller to wander at their own pace and take in all that Waratah-Wynyard has to offer.

For campers, caravans and campervans the following options are available for cabins, powered and unpowered sites:

Self-contained Motorhomes*

Waratah-Wynyard Council welcomes you and invites you to take some time to experience the many attractions of our region. Get to know the ‘locals’ and enjoy the friendly service offered by our local businesses.

Free 24 HOUR parking is permitted ONLY at the Wynyard Showgrounds – located at 59 Jackson St .

Due to approval guidelines that allow Council use of this site, only self-contained motorhomes are permitted. Caravans, campervans and tents are not permitted at this site, but are most welcome to enjoy the other options listed above.

*A self-contained motorhome vehicle is defined as having internal cooking facilities; sleeping facilities; water tanks for drinking and other purposes; holding tanks for ‘grey water’; holding tanks for toilet effluent; shower facilities.

Waste Dump Stations

The Council provides waste water dump stations at the following locations:
